As with most brilliant ideas in my life, the pickles all started over a glass (well 3 glasses) of whiskey with friends.

My great friend, The Bitter Ginger, and his wife have created an amazing product that I fell in love with and use in my professional life all the time. I was thinking about the ways to share his genius with the world when I remembered an amazing gift my sister had once sent me… Cocktail Kits! This gift was so super fun and well done. I thought to myself that this would be a great way to get The Bitter Ginger out into the world and have it be properly appreciated.

Once we really dug into the Ginger Box Cocktail Kits, “we put a party in your box,” we came up with a final product that had us scouring second hand stores and making beautiful garnishes all in addition to the mixers for the cocktails. This is where our pickles were born. The first pickled garnish we added was Dilly Beans for The Bitter Ginger’s version of a michelada, named the Canelo.

I started making Dilly Beans for friends, then friends starting making requests for new pickled items, then friends starting giving pickles as gifts to loved ones, and the next thing I knew I had a pickle business! You can still find me slinging pickles jars out of the back of my car, but you can also find the pickles in local stores (and hopefully more places soon!) as well as on this website.
